Sales Representative

About the role

The Sales Representative will join Liberty Uganda’s customer‑first team in Kampala, working in a hybrid setting that blends office and remote activities. You will be responsible for promoting a range of insurance solutions that protect families during key life events, while meeting sales targets and delivering excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and engage potential clients through both in‑person and virtual channels.
• Present and explain insurance products, including policy features, benefits and exclusions.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of leads, follow up on inquiries and close sales to achieve targets.
• Prepare and process policy applications, ensuring accurate customer records.
• Coordinate with internal teams to guarantee smooth onboarding and service delivery.
• Participate in promotional activities, networking events and continuous training on product and compliance updates.

Required profile

• Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a proven track record of meeting targets.
• Excellent customer‑service mindset, active listening and empathy.
• Good verbal and written communication in English (and local languages where relevant).
• Basic proficiency with digital tools and CRM or sales‑tracking systems.
• Understanding of insurance or financial services concepts is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
• Minimum diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
