Team Lead Manager (Insurance)

About the role

The Team Lead Manager (Insurance) is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Kampala, responsible for leading an insurance sales and customer service team to achieve performance targets and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate workloads, monitor team KPIs, and provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Review and approve insurance proposals, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve escalated customer issues and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies, prepare reports, and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong finance and insurance knowledge, including underwriting principles and basic financial concepts.
• Proven team management experience with leadership, mentoring, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills, capable of handling escalations and driving revenue goals.
• Relevant academic background in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
• Analytical, organizational, and reporting abilities with attention to detail.
