Insurance Salesperson

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Salesperson based in Kampala, reporting to the Insurance Agency Manager within the Sales and Marketing department. The Salesperson identifies and engages potential clients, presents insurance services and follows up on leads to close sales.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential clients and follow up on leads to close sales
• Conduct client meetings and prepare and deliver sales pitches
• Maintain accurate sales records and achieve set sales targets
• Collaborate with the business development and advertising teams to align sales with promotional campaigns and client needs
• Provide ongoing client support, gather feedback and help improve service offerings

Required profile

• Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles, preferably in business services or training
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work independently, meet targets and manage time in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Strong sales, negotiation and persuasion skills, with excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Basic understanding of sales and marketing concepts
• Proficiency in common office software such as email, spreadsheets and presentation tools
