Sales Executive - Insurance Agency

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Executive in Kampala, reporting to the Insurance Agency Manager within the Sales and Marketing department. The role identifies and pursues new business, builds client relationships and promotes insurance services in business planning, insurance and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect for new business, hold sales meetings and presentations, prepare proposals, negotiate terms and close deals.
• Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and gather market feedback.
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine service offerings.
• Track sales performance, keep accurate records and help achieve revenue and growth targets.

Required profile

• Proven sales, client relationship management and business development skills, able to generate and close new opportunities.
• Experience or interest in business planning, advertising and marketing.
• Ability to conduct market research, analyse customer needs and turn insights into sales strategies.
• Relevant academic background in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field; comparable practical experience is also valued.
• Comfortable working on-site in Kampala and meeting clients in person.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism, with inclusive, non-discriminatory interactions.

Required skills

• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail in records, proposals and follow-ups.
• Basic digital tools such as email, spreadsheets, presentations and CRM or contact tracking tools, with willingness to learn new systems.
