Corporate Sales Executive

About the role

Smartec Electronics Ltd is hiring a full-time Corporate Sales Executive in Kampala (Kamwokya). The role covers corporate client acquisition, product promotion and sales, tender and project business, key account management and sales reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach new corporate customers and business partners, generate leads through research, networking, referrals and site visits, and maintain an active corporate sales pipeline.
• Promote and sell the company's product portfolio, understand customer needs, prepare quotations, offers, proposals and presentations, negotiate terms and follow up until orders or contracts are secured.
• Monitor public and private tenders, coordinate tender document preparation and submission, and keep records of tender outcomes.
• Build long-term relationships with existing corporate customers, identify upsell and upgrade opportunities and resolve customer concerns quickly.
• Coordinate with technical teams on site surveys, product selection, BOQs, designs, installation and project costing, and follow projects from inquiry to handover.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets, develop action plans and monitor quotations, orders and expected closing dates.
• Analyse competitors and market intelligence to support pricing, product positioning and sales strategy.
• Maintain lead, opportunity and customer records, prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts, and keep an updated corporate customer database.
• Follow up on outstanding payments with the finance department and ensure required documents (LPOs, contracts, delivery notes, invoices, acceptance documents) are processed.
• Work with logistics, warehouse, finance, procurement, marketing, technical, service and installation departments, and escalate important issues to management.
