Accounts Receivable Accountant (Part-Time)

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited, a manpower management solutions firm operating across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan, is hiring a part-time Accounts Receivable Accountant for its Kampala head office. The role sits in the Finance department, reports to the Group AR Lead and covers the full receivables cycle: timely collection, accurate invoicing, cash flow projections and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receivables so that average days outstanding stay at 30 days or less; present overdue accounts to the CX department with weekly reports to the Group AR Lead, CX Manager and Country Manager
• Respond to client queries within 24 hours and resolve disputes within 3 business days, keeping a dispute tracking log
• Issue invoices within one business day of receiving complete billing data (POs, GRNs and receipt numbers) with 100% accuracy, and reconcile and share client statements weekly
• Maintain quarterly rolling receivable cash flow projections, updated and shared weekly with FP&A and the CFO, and keep the monthly current ratio above 1.5
• Prepare management accounts by M+5, complete GL account reconciliations by M+4 and VAT vs revenue reconciliations by M+15, and share weekly AR reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Multi-entity or regional finance experience preferred

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Proficiency in billing, collections and client relations
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
