Savings Area Manager

About the role

The Savings Area Manager leads all regional savings activities for FINCA Uganda in the Eastern Region, reporting to the Savings Manager. The role is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to grow savings across the region, mobilizing, monitoring and coordinating actions to meet regional savings targets.

Key responsibilities

• Establish regional and branch savings targets (clients, volume, usage, cross-selling) with the Savings Manager and branch managers, and set mobilization goals for alternative delivery channels such as POS and mobile banking.
• Develop a monthly activity plan and guide staff and services in mobilizing savings.
• Help design promotional campaigns and supervise branch savings mobilization through meetings and joint field work.
• Prepare weekly activity agendas, bi-weekly progress reports and end-of-month achievement reports for the Savings Manager.
• Build business relationships with institutions and potential clients, and propose new locations for POS agents.
• Promote savings products and channels, collect client and staff feedback, and propose improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or another business-related field.
• 3 years of experience in savings mobilization and sales and marketing within a financial institution.
• Hands-on experience growing a savings portfolio.
• Excellent training and coaching skills, and good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• High integrity, self-motivated, innovative and results-oriented.
