Business Development Officer – IT Solutions

About the role

A client of Jobberman is looking for a Business Development Officer to promote and market its IT solutions and services. The role covers identifying new business opportunities, promoting IT products and services, managing client relationships and supporting growth through marketing and sales activities.

Key responsibilities

• Market IT products and services: network, cybersecurity, cloud, software, IT support, hardware and infrastructure solutions
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and meet potential clients
• Present IT solutions and deliver product presentations and proposals
• Answer client inquiries and prepare quotations
• Maintain customer relationships and work with technical teams to design client solutions
• Carry out market research and identify new markets
• Take part in marketing campaigns, events and exhibitions
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales and marketing reports, maintain the customer database and sales pipeline, and achieve sales and marketing targets

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in IT solutions sales or marketing
• Experience selling IT products or services is highly preferred
• Sales or marketing certification is an added advantage

Required skills

• Strong marketing and sales skills, proposal writing and documentation, and customer relationship management
• Negotiation, persuasion and excellent communication and presentation skills
• Good computer skills (MS Office, CRM systems)
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
