Female Trainee Branch Manager

About the role

Uzima Microfinance Uganda Limited is seeking a motivated female trainee to support the daily operations of a branch. This role offers hands‑on experience in micro‑finance services, customer acquisition, and loan portfolio management while developing leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day branch activities and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Assist in achieving targets for customer acquisition, retention, and loan portfolio growth.
• Monitor loan quality, repayments, and recovery of overdue loans.
• Supervise, coach and support branch staff to meet their performance goals.
• Prepare and submit accurate MIS, financial and operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with Uzima policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Promote excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Handle, bank, reconcile and account for branch funds responsibly.
• Facilitate branch meetings, staff performance reviews and business development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management or related field.
• Maximum age of 36 years.
• High level of integrity, accountability and professionalism.
• Willingness to work in the field and travel when required.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of credit management, savings mobilization and loan recovery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical abilities.
