Insurance Salesperson

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Salesperson in Kampala, reporting to the Insurance Sales Manager. The Salesperson identifies and pursues new business, builds and maintains client relationships and promotes the agency's insurance services.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and cold call, schedule and attend client meetings, prepare and present sales proposals, and follow up to close deals.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and update sales reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams so service delivery matches client expectations.
• Monitor market trends, gather client feedback and suggest improvements to sales strategy and service offerings.

Required profile

• Demonstrated sales ability, including prospecting, lead generation and closing deals.
• Strong client relationship management skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Kampala, manage time well and meet sales targets.
• Previous experience in recruitment, advertising or professional services sales is an advantage; a certificate, diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is preferred.
