Marketing Key Account Manager

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring a Marketing Key Account Manager in Uganda. The role links the company with its key clients to improve their satisfaction and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and profile client accounts by performance, value and potential, and produce periodic reports
• Identify the key clients' main needs and deliver first-class service
• Develop and implement a strategy for managing key accounts
• Run regular customer satisfaction surveys and improve key accounts accordingly
• Develop pricing structures for key clients and resolve disputes to retain them
• Conduct account reviews and client visits to target prospects
• Generate weekly sales reports and track metrics such as TEU volumes, gross margin and account retention
• Work with Operations, Customer Service and Finance teams, and take part in internal planning meetings
• Support CRM implementation by logging interactions and updating pipeline stages
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on pipeline performance, conversion rates and customer activity

Required profile

• Business degree
• Diploma in Sales and Marketing
• Knowledge of the freight industry
• 3 years of experience
• Self-driven, resilient, results-oriented, proactive and a team player
