Lead Field Officer – Mbale Office & Field Sites

About the role

Lead Field Officers will manage the Safe Water Now satellite office in Mbale and supervise field teams across the region. They will ensure timely chlorine deliveries, dispenser maintenance, and strong community and government engagement to sustain safe‑water services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all activities at the Mbale satellite office and supported field locations.
• Manage Officers, Community Service Assistants (CSAs) and masons, providing training, mentorship and supervision.
• Coordinate chlorine delivery, back‑checks and dispenser installations, ensuring materials are available at water points.
• Conduct community outreach, government liaison and stakeholder engagement to promote program adoption.
• Monitor field performance, report to the Associate Area Coordinator‑SWN and ensure compliance with program standards.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 24 months of experience in field program implementation or water‑related projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, supervise field activities and manage logistics.
• Strong communication skills for community and government interaction.
