Mobile Sales Representative - Soroti Mobile Shop

About the role

Hallmark Recruitment is recruiting a full-time, field-based Mobile Sales Representative based in Soroti, Uganda, with service coverage across the Eastern Region. The person will run a "shop on wheels" from a company van, selling durable bicycles, spare parts and offering maintenance services to rural and peri-urban communities. The role suits an entrepreneurial, independent sales professional who can balance driving, community relations and digital point-of-sale inventory management. Key responsibilities

• Drive the company mobile shop van along scheduled routes in Soroti and the wider Eastern region to meet and exceed monthly bicycle sales targets.
• Build trust with local community leaders, SACCOs, smallholder farmers and individual customers, using local dialects.
• Process sales, down payments and inquiries on the road using Shopify or the designated retail POS software, and reconcile daily cash and digital wave transactions.
• Keep the van safe, clean and organised, and carry out routine stock counts of bicycles and parts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or another business-related field.
• At least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in field, route or mobile retail settings.
• Fluent in both Ateso and Kumam, able to switch between them with customers.
• Valid Class B driving permit.
• Confident driving manual and automatic vehicles on tarmac and rough rural roads.

Required skills

• Hands-on use of Shopify or similar digital retail POS systems.
• Basic smartphone app literacy for reporting.

What we offer

• Gross pay of UGX 900,000 to 1,200,000 per month.
• A company van provided.
