Team Leader - Sales (Retail Banking, Uganda)

About the role

KCB Group is hiring a Team Leader for its Retail Banking Department in Kampala, Uganda. The role leads the DFS sales, merchant acquiring and ERP partnership business lines, driving merchant acquisition, platform usage and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage the rollout plan for KCBU Merchants and ERP platform integrations, and give strategic direction for acquisition and usage.
• Lead the BCOs and DSRs to build a sustainable, active network of merchants and ERP users.
• Deliver all projects related to DFS sales, merchant acquiring and ERP partnerships.
• Manage stakeholders so that ERP and merchants have 100% of the required supplies, POS terminals and marketing merchandise.
• Maintain high-quality service standards and strict regulatory compliance.
• Oversee training, onboarding and continuous development of merchant and ERP user networks.
• Prepare quality service and performance reports on merchants and ERP traction.
• Manage stable partnerships focused on business strategy and KCBU balance sheet growth.
• Schedule promotion and awareness campaigns and organise regular feedback forums for merchants and enterprise clients.
• Daily: assess sales team performance against targets, monitor the team against the approved scorecard, recommend training, and conduct periodic customer visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or a business-related course.
• 6 years of total experience: 4 years in an ERP sales-driven role (essential), 1 year in relationship management (desirable), and 1 year in team management (essential).
