Sales Development Person – Industrial Products

About the role

Wesdom Valves and Fittings Uganda is hiring a sales development person in Kampala to develop new customers and close sales of valves, pipes, fittings and other industrial products. The position suits candidates who can work independently and are willing to carry out field sales and customer visits.

Key responsibilities

• Independently develop new customers and maintain existing customer relationships
• Conduct field sales and customer visits
• Close sales of industrial products such as valves, pipes and fittings

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in valves, pipes, fittings or industrial products
• Proven experience in customer development, sales and business expansion, with actual sales performance records
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer relationship management skills
• Responsible, disciplined and able to follow company rules and procedures
• Must live near the job location (Mutungo, Nakawa, Kintale)
• Candidates familiar with the local market and existing customer resources are encouraged to apply

What we offer

• Probation period of 2-3 months
• Basic salary plus commission; commission depends on collection time and amount collected (example given for UGX 20 million monthly sales)
