Proposal Writing and Fundraising Trainee

About the role

TechBuzz Hub is seeking a motivated Proposal Writing and Fundraising Trainee to join its team in Kampala. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in crafting proposals, responding to RFPs, and supporting fundraising activities for early‑stage enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project proposals from concept to submission.
• Prepare technical writing pieces and respond to Request For Proposals (RFPs).
• Articulate problems, gaps, and opportunities to shape project design and objectives.
• Design monitoring and evaluation tools, including logic models, theories of change, and log frames.
• Conduct research to identify business and funding opportunities.
• Support communication tasks related to fundraising and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong interest in entrepreneurship, technology, and startup ecosystems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
• Attention to detail, strong time‑management, and research aptitude.
• Basic budgeting and financial literacy.
