Regional Sales Manager

About the role

A Regional Sales Manager is needed in Kampala to manage dealer networks and drive regional sales performance. The role covers building dealer relationships, supervising dealer sales staff, monitoring market trends and reporting on regional sales results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales plans, set sales quotas and create sales processes to meet regional targets.
• Build and maintain strong dealer relationships, review their performance regularly against set metrics, and ensure dealers follow corporate standards on product stocking, pricing and branding.
• Supervise, train, coach and motivate dealer sales staff to drive field execution.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing strategies, run marketing initiatives to build brand awareness, handle queries and collect feedback.
• Track regional sales performance, analyse data and report to management so strategies can be adjusted.
• Align regional sales with marketing and other internal departments.

Required profile

• Good university degree; a professional qualification in Sales and Marketing is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience managing dealer or distributor networks, preferably in FMCG or Telecom.
• Proven leadership, coaching and team-motivation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and customer-focused relationship management skills.
