Salesperson - Insurance Agency

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Salesperson in Kampala. The Salesperson identifies and pursues new business, builds and maintains client relationships, and presents agency services and solutions that meet client marketing and advertising needs.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, set meetings, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and follow up to close deals
• Coordinate with internal teams so new clients are onboarded smoothly
• Track sales performance and give regular updates and forecasts to management

Required profile

• Experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably in advertising, marketing or related fields
• Strong client relationship management, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to do basic market research, identify potential clients and tailor pitches to different sectors and business sizes
• Solid negotiation, persuasion and closing skills, focused on meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Organized and time-managed, able to work independently and with creative and marketing teams
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is an advantage; prior experience in the Kampala market is highly beneficial
