Team Lead Manager – Insurance Sales & Service

About the role

The Team Lead Manager (Insurance) is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Kampala. You will lead an insurance sales and customer‑service team, ensuring they meet performance targets while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate daily workloads, monitor team KPIs and provide regular performance feedback.
• Coach, mentor and resolve conflicts within the team, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Review and approve insurance proposals, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle escalated customer issues, maintaining professionalism and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies, prepare reports and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of finance and insurance concepts, including underwriting principles.
• Proven team‑management experience with leadership, mentoring and performance monitoring skills.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to manage escalations.
• Solid sales background with experience in target setting and pipeline management.
• Relevant academic background in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related field.
