Warehouse Coordinator

About the role

Integrated Logistics Services - Tilenga Limited, a subsidiary of Africa Global Logistics (U) Limited, is looking for a Warehouse Coordinator in Uganda. The role oversees daily warehouse operations, leads a team and ensures efficient receipts, storage and dispatch of goods, while managing inventory, monitoring performance and driving process improvements. It is a full-time, permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate equipment, warehouse space and personnel according to the warehouse manager's planning schedule.
• Run daily operations and toolbox meetings with warehouse teams, and carry out daily spot checks against the published SOPs.
• Coordinate inbound, storage and outbound shipment activities in a timely way, and ensure stacking and storage follow SOPs and manager instructions.
• Perform monthly stock takes, issue gate passes and delivery notes, and prepare manual goods receipt and dispatch notes.
• Ensure QHSE and security procedures are followed, and check compliance daily.
• Maintain accurate records: archive documentation on time, counter-sign stack cards, tally sheets and stock take sheets, and keep a catalogue of items with dimensions.
• Provide reports to the warehouse manager and clients, and process receiving, discrepancy and damage reports.
• Supervise permanent and casual staff, keep the warehouse clean, take part in budget development and control, and handle complaints about shipments of equipment and stock.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Transport & Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of professional experience in warehousing, base management, inventory or stock control, ICD management, distribution or a similar role.
• Innovative, pragmatic, resilient and flexible, with integrity and a team-leader approach.
