Chartered Accountant & Tax Lawyer (EU Focus)

About the role

M365consult, a fast‑growing European startup delivering Microsoft solutions, is seeking a Chartered Accountant who also holds tax‑law expertise. The role is long‑term (12‑24 months minimum) and will serve as the primary financial and tax point of contact for the company, supporting both local and EU‑based operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and organise documents in SharePoint, creating clear file descriptions.
• Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping, ensuring accurate recording of all transactions.
• Prepare, analyse and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash‑flow reports.
• Research and ensure compliance with financial regulations and EU tax laws.
• Act as the sole liaison for all tax matters, communicating with stakeholders and Latvian financial authorities.
• Draft and ready legal documents for stakeholder signatures.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights for strategic decisions.
• Maintain audit‑ready financial records and improve accounting processes.
• Manage QuickBooks to streamline accounting workflows.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Demonstrated experience acting as a tax lawyer, preferably with EU tax knowledge.
• Strong analytical and research abilities, including use of AI tools for information gathering.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder and institutional interaction.
