Finance and Administration Officer (Gulu)

About the role

SNV, a mission‑driven global development partner operating in Uganda, is looking for a Finance and Administration Officer to join its team in Kampala. The role will support the implementation of a multi‑year school feeding programme that SNV is developing together with the World Food Programme, aimed at improving nutrition and education outcomes across selected districts. The officer will work within SNV’s decentralized structure, collaborating with country and regional offices and contributing to the organization’s broader goals of resilient agri‑food systems, water and sanitation, and sustainable energy.

SNV’s work is guided by the Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on gender equality, climate resilience and inclusive governance. The organization employs over 1,600 staff across Africa and Asia, with a strong presence in Uganda through its country office in Kampala and regional offices in Fort Portal, Rukungiri, Jinja and Lira. The Finance and Administration Officer will contribute to SNV’s commitment to people‑centered development, equity and diversity.

Key responsibilities

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least five years (60 months) of experience in finance and administration.
• Experience working in non‑governmental or development‑sector environments is preferred.
• Ability to operate in a multicultural, multi‑partner setting.
