Grants Officer (Part‑time, Hybrid)

About the role

The Grants Officer will support OMNI GYM AFRICA by identifying and securing grant and fellowship funding. This part‑time, hybrid position combines office work in Kampala with flexible remote days, focusing on proposal development, budget tracking and compliance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Research and shortlist potential funders and fellowship opportunities aligned with the company’s mission.
• Draft, edit and submit grant applications and fellowship proposals.
• Maintain a centralized grant pipeline, records and documentation.
• Monitor grant budgets, timelines and compliance with funder requirements.
• Prepare progress, financial and impact reports for funders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather program data and ensure funded projects are implemented effectively.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grant administration, including tracking submissions and ensuring compliance.
• Strong proposal‑writing and communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business, finance, development studies or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with NGOs, social enterprises or impact‑focused organisations, preferably in health, fitness or technology.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines and coordinate with both on‑site and remote colleagues.
