Proposal Writer and Fundraising Trainee

About the role

TechBuzz Hub is seeking a motivated Proposal Writer and Fundraising Trainee to join its team in Kampala. This full‑time position supports early‑stage enterprises by preparing high‑quality proposals, responding to RFPs, and assisting with fundraising communication.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and manage proposals and grant applications.
• Prepare and submit responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs).
• Articulate project problems, gaps, and opportunities to shape program design.
• Develop monitoring and evaluation tools such as logic models, theories of change, and log frames.
• Conduct research to identify business and funding opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of documents.

Required profile

• Strong proposal management and technical writing abilities.
• Experience with RFP preparation and submission.
• Capability to design monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and time‑management skills.
• Interest in entrepreneurship, technology, and startup ecosystems.
• Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Basic budgeting and financial literacy.
